Jaarbeurs, Utrecht, The Netherlands
Jaarbeurs Utrecht is one of the largest exhibition and convention centers in the Netherlands. Its Supernova meeting hub includes vast public spaces, meeting rooms and halls, foyers, and corridors.
In this project, Visual Productions hardware was used to transition the venue from manual control into a "smart" architectural system. The transit zone shows subtle matrix fx integrated in the reception desk, driven by CueCores. Room lights and cleaning lights in conference rooms 1 to 4 are all controlled by CueCores.
A total of 18 CueCores are installed, together with 7 B-Stations for manual override, switching utility lights etc. Intelligent programming and sliding door sensors allow for automated merging of zones, rooms while simplifying control.
The main building management system has access to the system where 2 IoCores act as a gateway. An external DMX signal from a lighting desk can be injected in the system which will automatically forward this signal to any of the conference rooms. B-Stations allow for easy manual override by Jaarbeurs staff.
